rendum stating the proposals of my Government in

regard to their recognition of the Chinese Nationality

queation. It will be noted that my Government also

desire, with a view to the avoidance of future misunŭ er-

standings, to obtain a clear statement as regards the

position of the children of denationalised Chinese.
